epa01707424 Indian children take part in a protest against child trafficking in New Delhi, India on 24 April, 2009. The protest was held to draw attention to the disappearance of children to sitting Members of Parliament and aspiring politicians as national election campaigning and voting continues. Hundreds of parents and family members of missing children came onto the streets to protest and demand those elected to public office help trace missing children. They allege that traffickers are selling children in India for amounts that are often lower than the cost of animals and most of them end up working as child labourers or commercial sex workers.
